food & sex:

“…anybody who doesn’t absolutely, totally and unconditionally enjoy food, cannot possibly enjoy sex.”  — Shobhaa De, Upper Crust Magazine, India (something vic and i agree on completely)

the synchronicity archives (like dark side of the moon and wizard of oz)

for defiant mike’s birthday – the best comic book cover site

yoda travels to ireland [someone with too much time on their hands, try to catch it now, before lucas gets wind of it.]

i had more, but i want to talk to my wife and i’m tired, so i bid you adieu.

btw after some fierce battling, i won my game of monopoly. [it’s not so easy to beat an intelligent, shrewd, determined 10 year old, especially my mercenary daughter. i love her so much.]

well not just today’s. i’ve been rather lax for the last couple of days so bear with me, i’ve got a lot of links to post.

please stand by…

let’s start here –

1. nerve has started posting a collection of sexual related links from the world wide weird, it’s called the scanner and the first offerings are a doozy.

2. more excerpts from em & lo’s new book – this time they wax poetic on the g-spot and female ejaculation

3. Sextablos: Works on Metal, “a book featuring 60 artists from New York, Seattle and Chicago exploring the issues and taboos of sex, created using the format of Mexican Retablo painting.

4. a couple of interesting blogs:

the rules of blogging as told by the reverse cowgirl

dirty whore’s first time

and the bazima chronicles which i discovered sometime ago and then promptly never went back to, why i can’t imagine.

5. one of the most entertaining sports headlines ever written (how ever you chose to read it)

whew. time for a pause, i haven’t even gotten to metafilter yet. i’ll be back later, need all my wits to try and outmanoeuvre my daughter in monopoly.

we are the world

back to subject lines of whimsy – i think you can tell my mood by the subject lines. i’m torn between giving up ijournal and posting directly on js -it would save me the exercise i’m about to embark on; catergorising all my entries.

but there was a real point to this post, two actually.

one, came across this rather interesting link via metafilter:

The internet is shit.

It is vitally important that we all realize this and move on. People (eg Bloggers) go on and on about how wonderful it is. About how much information is out there in cyberspace. About the way that everything is within reach in just a few clicks of their mice.

and secondly and more importantly, this is for vic.

good night all.

My Bloginality is INTJ!!!

the incredible bulk

A six-year-old girl got more than she bargained for when she won an Incredible Hulk doll on Brighton’s Palace Pier.

more [edit, like some backward news organisations in the caribbean [sorry franka], this paper doesn`t archive, but i posted the story in it`s enterity in the junk drawer GO THERE NOW]

i’m in a very weird mood and there is no cause for it. vic is here in a few days, but i’m uneasy and restless. the trip to pay the tax on her ticket was a fiasco, sat in bwee for an indeterminable length, then my bankcard wouldn’t work and the woman was downright rude. i’m going back tomorrow, before i go to get my hair done. i need to work out whatever this is and now. i have a lot of work to do tonight and i need to focus.

blogging has been a catharsis for me, but it’s hard to vent when you’re not sure what the problem is.

whole lotta love

what more could i ask for? well we all know the answer to that. but i had a nice long nap, lovely dreams, got up had lunch, watched some of the movies i borrowed, only lock stock and adaptation to watch.

may take those on tomorrow in the office.

metafilter is down but daze is not so i give you a mass of sex and related links [also trying something with format of the links]:

the history & logistics of celebrity dating

…Early on, studio bosses and gossip columnists recognized the value of a great real-life love story, understanding that fans lived vicariously through their movie idols. So from the ‘20s until the studio system disintegrated in the ‘60s, the bosses — who exercised absolute authority over their actors — fabricated fake dalliances and exploited real ones for two purposes: first, to create new stars by attaching them to established ones, and second, to cover up the homosexuality or potentially tarnishing behavior of a star…

taking liberties with harry potter

Thousands of spinoffs of J.K. Rowling’s novels – many steamy with graphic sex – can be read on the Internet. But why is this fan fiction, often of questionable legality, allowed to flourish?

the harry potter innuendo list

Upon recieving The Order of the Phoenix, we couldn’t help but notice the high frequency of the phrase “Flat on his back”. Alerted by this fact, we looked a little closer and compiled a list of wonderfully out of context quotes for the amusement and edification of all. Curiously, most of them seem to involve either Fred and George or Snape.

some photo links

a good jumping-off point. some of the more interesting diversions include:

my illustrated life of a sex slave [specially for k & h, not together, unless they want to]

and diana scheunemann has some very interesting stuff as well

and finally your moment of zen:

The vagina monoliths: Stonehenge was ancient sex symbol

…a University of British Columbia researcher who has investigated the great prehistoric monument for several years has announced he has uncovered its true meaning: it is a giant fertility symbol, constructed in the shape of the female sexual organ…

the flat earth society (believe it, believe it, it is true)

the automatic bad movie trailer generator

ok, i’ve im’d some tech support, now i can get some sleep.

sex tourism in jamaica

what saddens me is that this is so prevalent all over the caribbean, that people will automatically make assumptions about vic and i. i expect to hear at least one completely stupid fucking comment while she’s here.
